Refund & Return Policy

At Zippo India, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Our return and refund policy is in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Return Window

You may return eligible items within 7 days of delivery, provided they meet the following conditions:

  • The item is unused and in its original condition
  • All original packaging, accessories, and the purchase invoice are included
  • The item is not a personalised or customised product (these are non-returnable)

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Email us at careindia@zippo.com within 7 days of receiving your order.
  2. Include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for return.
  3. We will confirm eligibility and provide return shipping instructions within 2 business days.
  4. Ship the item back to the address provided. Return shipping costs are borne by the customer unless the item is defective or incorrectly shipped.

Refunds

  • Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item.
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method (credit/debit card, UPI, net banking, etc.).
  • Cash on Delivery orders are refunded via bank transfer. Please provide your bank account details when initiating the return.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Personalised or customised lighters
  • Items returned after 7 days of delivery
  • Items showing signs of use, damage, or missing original packaging
  • Lighter fluid, flints, and wicks (consumables)

Defective or Wrong Items

If you receive a defective or incorrect item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the product and packaging. We will arrange a free replacement or full refund at no additional cost to you.

Mechanical Defects — Lifetime Warranty

Zippo windproof lighters are covered by Zippo's unconditional lifetime guarantee for mechanical defects. This is separate from the return policy. For warranty claims, visit our Warranty & Repair page.
